I am trying to learn more about Colombian politics. I don't understand a lot of how and why the government and the rebel groups fight each other. I think the guerrilla groups destroying oil pipelines has something to do with their anti-Colombian Government stance. But I'm not sure. Could someone please inform me on the reason behind this and what these guerrillas believe they will accomplish by doing so.What is the reason behind blowing up oil pipelines in Colombia?
