Sure - good politics to give the Turks (Europe's traditional and greatest enemy) a strangle-hold on EU energy! Good for America, that is, which tries to block a strong Europe and especially a European friendship with its natural European partner - Russia. You are right of course, President Obama stated that he wants Turkey to join the EU whilst at the G meetings last month, and that will be a disaster for the UK and Europe if we let 80 million poor people in and allow them settle wherever they like within the EU. It will certainly make Europe even weaker than it is now, JUST what America want of course and playing right into their hands.





I oppose ANY power hold by the Turks upon the EU, including even oil / gas pipelines running through it, and I certainly oppose their EU membership. It could spark riots and destabilise our entire economies and well being.Oil pipeline thru Turkey - a good idea?
Bad idea, Turkey is desperate to get into the EU with the US's sponsorship, are they going to take the 80,000000 migrants from there? i doubt it. The less Europe takes to do with Turkey the better off Europe will be. Anyway Turkey and Israel (eurovision song contest winners with a transsexual!) aren't even in Europe. In the past, we have fought the Spanish and the French. Should we consider them to be our enemies as well?
Id much rather prefer a pipeline through Turkey then Russia. Turkey WAS an enemy not anymore. Russia is now the bigger threat to Europe.


Britain needs to be energy independent by going nuclear.
Sorry I do not care about Europe we need to drill here and now in America so the profits and tax revenue will stay here and help pay for sustainable energy sources.
